need help

I have been playing civ4 bts with the rom mod for several months. I have enjoyed it but deciced I needed a change. Installed A new Dawn 1.74 now when I try to start the mod I get an error message stating Tag: GAMEOPTION_INQUISITION in Info class was incorrect
current xml file is: xml\units/civ4unitsinfos.xml

I can get to the custom game setup screen and configure my game but when I hit the launch button it crashes to the desktop. Any help would be appreciated.

You might be better off trying the Beta - because it doesn't install over Rise of Mankind, it is its own total package.

thanks for the suggestion. I tried it but now when I try to start the mod it crashes back to bts.

Are you playing the game in the English language or some other language? I know there's some missing tags that cause it to crash if you've got the language set to French.

Im playing it in english. I have tried it on both xp and vista 64 it acts the same on either system. Last nite I reinstalled rom 2.92 on the xp system by it self and it works with no problem.

Thanks again for your help. In another post it was suggested that I reinstall rom 2.92 and then install and 1.74 with the patches. This has worked.
