need help

Ive got 2 problems. 1-I downloaded a patch and keep getting the error message "CIVKEYNOTFOUND(UNITS) (BADRULES) in blah blah blah... I have classic civs could the modpack be made for another version?
2-For my own purpose I tried changing land values to get SSC and pop. larger than 40 but when I use it the game simply doesnt take into account the new values. Am I doing something wrong?

Which patch did you download?

Its was the militarist patch, I got it to work by changing the rules a little, where units became available with X1, X2 and so one the game wouldnt reconize it.

After posting I downloaded the scenario tragan and caeser and they both had errors too. Now that I think about it I got the militarist patch from another site. But the other 2 were under ancient in the downloads collection. They didnt specify type so I asumed they were for the classic version.
