Hey, First of all id just like to say Hi ^^ Ive never played any Civilization games before but seeing trailers and stuff for 5 im really intrested and so have it pre ordered.

As for my question, the best way I can describe it is with Rome Total War: Barbarian Invasion, When you completed the objectives (Or you lost teh game due to the AI completing theirs) There was an option to keep on playing, does anyone know if there will or they have a similar thing for Civ5? I really love a long drawn out game like that every so often.

Hi Balkor, welcome to the forum.
Every previous Civ has let you keep playing even once you win (or lose, if you weren't eliminated), I would be amazed if they removed that. It seems very unlikely that they would.

People have seen that option come up in the escapists new preview, so yes you can continue to play after you have won, or lost if you got unlucky.

Thanks for the replies ^^ Games like these I normally hate with having to do everything within a time limit, especially if Im really getting into it then find I cant use my newly build Robot of Death xD

you can always play without the time victory condition.

Its not just time, but say if I won the game by making everyone at peace with one another, ID like to be able to ruin all that and take over the world afterwards :D

In all previous games if a victory condition was met, you could still continue to play up until you got bored, through saves and loads aplenty.

No further score gets entered into the leaderboard, but you could keep playing.

When I want to play a forever game, I disable all victories condition except conquest (well, if they wiped you out, its over isn't it :D).

"Just...one...more...turn..."

That's how the pop-up at the end of the game is usually phrased for the option of continuing to play a game that's already been won/lost. :)
