I don't see a thread on this game. Forgive me if I missed it and point me in the right direction.
This is a "free" MMO, free to download, free to play (so far I haven't found any need to spend real money). Just wondering if anyone else is playing it. It's supposedly based on 4th edition AD&D rules (which from what I heard is very action orientated explaining why the game is an action rpg mostly). I'm liking it so far, just having some minor glitches with the interface.
Are your characters supposed to auto attack enemies by themselves? Sometimes my guy does it, sometimes he doesn't. I don't understand this at all. Trying to rearrange keybindings is a pain, but I think I figured out a way to do it. But it still likes to write over your old key bindings. Sloppy, but not game breaking.
I do like you can get additional background lore in your journal, making the game a little bit more involved than a game like Diablo. I mentioned Diablo since the skill setup seems to be similar to Diablo 3 in having a limited number of skills usable during combat. Or it may be more like Guild Wars 2 as well.
For a free game, I can't complain. It's pretty fun. Better than Guild Wars 2 which I just couldn't get into for some reason. I still don't like my Cleric having "ranged attacks", it's a little jarring. Whatever happened to going up and whacking them with a mace? Maybe the fighter types are melee orientated, and they decided to make Clerics ranged. I'm okay with that I guess. Still a lot about this game I don't know. I'm only level 7, and still haven't run any dungeons or whatever. I have no idea where they are.
It's probably not a long term game, but this will be my summer game I think (after that I will have limited amount of time to play). Any other comments on this game?
P.S. I'm playing a Dwarven Cleric on the Beholder server. Name Dark Avenger.
