Stalker0 has been playing with England to try out the new spy actions & seems to be suffering alot, considering England's UA & UB help with the threat of foreign spies. Doesn't their spy strength help as much as it did, & if so wont ordinary countries be under even more pressure.
Also, are there ways you can reduce foreign spy pressure than previously.
Hotfix is including a change so that repeat events increase the duration, but not the primary effect.
Fixed missing notifications for events ending
Fixed some events not applying properly to player capital
Fixed notification button not disappearing correctly in some instances
Adjusted scaling on espionage event rewards
Adjusted resistance scaling with pop/economic size
Events that target the same city with a duration effect now stack duration, not effect
Fixed player/city event standard debug setting causing events not to fire sometimes
Added 'view city' button to espionage event choice popup
I'm a little concerned that AI spamming the GPP kill event (especially multiple AIs) could end up making standard tall play impractical. Still in the middle of a previous patch game but that effect looks really extremely damaging compared to some of the others and it might just be a matter if the AI are mean enough to do it or not.
I'm having some difficulties getting the event choice window to appear; no matter how many times I click the button, the popup doesn't open.
* I'm using the hotfix.
the hotfix change to duration stacking will certainly help. Though that does mean you should assume that any game where you are remotely competitive in....your capital will effectively have -10 food until the end of time. And of course that's ignoring the 900+ base food I've already lost.
Are we ok with that?
With the Hotfix and England: if you put a spy in enemy city you are stuck with no choices =/
Don't your spy defences, & spy I presume you have in London, make any difference. If England is under threat like this with all their spy advantages, what about any other civ. Surely, they would be in a worse state.
FYI for people, skimisher doctrine is not working on the hotfix (might not be working on base 4/29 as well just maybe didn't notice). So if your playing, I would avoid skirmishers!

So I am getting the popup, but no options are available, noting on Github.
If it happens to people, I have found that you can move the spy back to the hideout and then send it to a CS, to ensure the game is salvagable.
Event choice -- the very first.
I know why. Moved a debug flag over.
I'm getting CTDs on my current game, even when I try an autosave several turns back. New game though is working. So either its not save-game compatible, or something is triggering with spies that I am not seeing at the beginning of the game.
