Hi guys, playing Beta no problem for five games. Thought I'd try IGE (v39), got CTD first time I tried to "Restart Game" (re-roll). Is this a Beta issue, IGE issue, or compatibility issue? Where do I report it?

    Thanks,
    M

I've had ones after the 2nd turn, and as far as Turn 400 or so (late information). Its not common, just the fact that I am having any at all now compared to the last few versions was why I mentioned it.

Could use a little refresher on WW mechanics. My war with the Aztecs (which I started), the only engagement was me sniping a worker. I have taken 0 damage, but I already have 2 war weariness after about 3-5 turns. Is that just a time component to WW?

This is one of those "WTF" moments for me.

I have just 4 cities, my normal infrastructure, workers a working on that land, everything is connected, and 2 luxs secured. And I am just drowning in unhappiness. I have no idea why this run is so much different from my usual, I would say I've actually expanded less than I often do.

And those barbs are harsh for this timeframe, ooi!!!

I am not suprised. You cities are crowded with people with no real perspectives. Firstly, I do not see any luxuries in your screen connected, beside one copper. I bet you work three food jungle tiles mostly or farms which is pure madness. Your cities lacks production and gold, so they cannot build anything, so they fall even more behind.
You don't have quality tiles like luxes. By that point in the game my there's at least one unique luxury owned from each of my cities, which I work, mine or two quarries for every city, then a farm or two on top of that. A farm that makes a difference between 10 or 12 turns in new citizen <<< +3 Production, or yields in gold and production from lux tiles, especially quarry or mines ones. You basically have no gold tiles. That hurts on so many levels.
And you are building herbalist in a city that has nothing but three food tiles. Wow. Anyway all that food is wasted because of your hapiness due to sever underdevelopment.
Unimproved jungles and forests don't make good tiles apart from early grow instead of farms, not when cties are approaching 7 pop. Each of your cities is desperate for a good tiles.
Your cities being on a rivers is developmental hell, because they cannot get their wells, instead of that god-awful herbalist.
How many workers do you have? In situtation like on the screen, I would have three by that point, more likely fourth in the making. At least two mines on each city, and rush (don't buy, just prioritize) forges, especially since you are blessed with copper.
I see you went progress, so you should really utilize that worker discount instead of getting that +3 food herbalists. Early workers equal so much production, yields, and everything.

The herbalist is for a CS quest, its timed so that it will give me the hammer boost for the wonder I'm going to start in 4 turns (once my policy hits). I have 3 workers currently.

Ouu, I'm stupid, you have four. I don't use unit list, so I haven't noticed that. Anyway, it seems very ordinary that in this situation you have so low unhappiness. I would not build those farms and wouldn't improve that sheep if I were you. I would chop forests for mines after connecting all copper. With those cities waiting for workshops and middle-game spike isn't an option.

@Stalker0 Just curious, but this is standard speed right? Do you usually play on epic speed? I have seen some posts which I believe are from epic speed games where the happiness seems unusually high - perhaps there is a connection there.

I am almost 100% percent sure that it is epic.

Auch. Then your cities are far more production starved than I thought. I usually play epic and eleven turns market and five turns council is common by turn 80. Hope you will get that plus two production policy now (if you you already have sicence from city connections).

I can't refrain myself from settling incan cities over mountains...

Also, I don't see anything particularly wrong. Did you research Bananas? They are likely to appear in those jungles. Also you could have some hidden iron. Maybe it's your pantheon. I usually dislike the forest pantheon, but in this case it could have been worthy, even knowing that you are going to chopp all those trees eventually. It gives you momentum.

What policys did you take? one warrior is all I see so my guess is progress. if so I guess next policy will reduce unhappiness a bit.
With city connections and one lux up it shouldnt be as bad as it is imo.
Tiwa and Machu are surprisingly big for this stage (I play on epic so maybe I'm incorrect here).
I would try trade my copper for a lux if possible and hook up the other copper asap.

Your non-capital city is quite large for this timeline. Having large satellite cities this early is not ideal. I found that in this version, it is usually better to grow your capital first. Doing this while building army, workers, infrastructure, or grab a wonder whatever. Then train 1-2 settlers from the capital, and focus on itself. Capital should always build for itself. Always. The capital is your powerhouse. If your satellite city is productive (lots of hills, animals, plain trees) then grow it. Or if it is food-abundant but lacking hammers, use it to train settlers. Until you have watermill or specialists, food city is quite useless.

Just showing off the AI a bit. It sent a large force in north east that stalled out due to my forces there. It has shifted its forces through the water farther south to attack my more exposed city there. That is actually quite impressive from the tactical AI, good job!

Is that a different game to the one from yesterday? I thought at first you had advanced a lot from the previous screen, but noticed the capital (Cusco) is different..

Checking on this one before I submit a bug report. In this council session, I am unable to select America as the host. Is there any in game reason that might be? (it looks like I can vote for anyone else).
