Ok here it is.

I am currently a bit bored with civ because atm it feels repetitive. To counter this I want to issue a challenge.
I am going to play a game, in which you guys tell me a certain victory condition/wonder choice's/war declaration era/map type/civ/specialist type before the game starts.
During the game I will hold myself to those strict guidelines.
Wonders I will try to beeline the tech and use its benefits to my full advantage, specialists I will try to maximise the given specialists if possible, war declaration can only happen in the era you guys allow me to, all victory conditions will be on, but I can only win with the one you give me.

Obviously I will make a report from it, and people can shadow in which they want.

The only 3 conditions I set myself are it being Immortal/Epic/standard.

So, most popular votes for each type of choice wins, and it can be as ridiculous as you guys want it to be.

I will start counting votes in 4 days from now, then start the game.

VC is conquest or domination.

War era is medieval.

Map type is continents.

Civ is germany.

Use cottages and specs as you see fit - the above isn't a cakewalk. You're going to war in the slowest era, but I've heard that you can get high returns doing it. I want to SEE it.

If the general concencus is AW, I will obviously play it. However I have played some AW games already, and people have seen AW games already.
Things like TMIT and Voice proposes are just totally wacky and challenging (but they have to be doable, even if its a longshot :) ).

Keep up the creative ideas

TMIT's challenge might be doable, when was classical ending and renaissance beginning exactly? Vou's challenge seems very difficult to me but that might be because i don 't know what a permanent alliance can do for you.

So i vote for TMIT's proposal, it could indeed be interesting since you're probably fighting without a tech advantage. You also have to be fast since otherwise you'll encounter renaissance units. But you're on epic so there should be a way. Just read that VC must be conquest/domination well this one is very difficult then but still interesting.

what i have done before is started a war in classical, and just sustained it. i conquered the first with swords, the second with elephants, and then maces, then knights. just by slowly progressing up the tech tree it is just about possible to keep ahead of the opposition. it requires complete concentration on the next goal - no meandering. any techs for the economy can be garnered from peace treaties. the problem comes when you hit castles - they tend to slow you down to such an extent that war becomes too expensive. to keep the economy alive, you have to raise every city after the first couple of enemies, and keep that stack moving. the money from burning cities is your main source of money - it has to sustain your army. this means moving quickly. of course, this is all fairly theoretical, but i have done it before (on emperor not immortal though). i was playing as Washington, which is good for charismatic. however, i think org/cha would be better than cha/exp (meaning napoleon). or you could go for byzantines and just hold out until cataphracts, although that would wreck my progressive strategy.

I think that instead of going purely always war, you should be forced to declare war on the first aggressive civ you meet and stay at war with them until they are wiped out. This means that you will still be able to play a "normal" type game whilst having the thrill of constantly being at war with someone with a high unitbuild prob. Also you must build chichen itza.

I like this idea. To carry it a bit further, pick the the closest civ and stay at war with that civ until it is wiped out or vasselized. The turn the war ends, declare on the next closest civ, etc.
