New Civ 7 logo found via Steam

Sweet! Looks cool

I don't know why the ship wheel pops out ot me for some reason. Hard to read into it with so little information, but I am curious to know if the symbols chosen represent focuses the game is aiming at.

Observations:
12 o clock: probably Industrial Era symbol
12:30: an assortment of smaller buildings that could be wonders
1:30: Statue of Liberty
1:45: Menlo Park?
2 o clock: possibly Science Victory symbol
2:15: Eiffel Tower
2:30: rocket launching
3:30: pyramids
4 o clock: sword and shield, possibly Domination Victory symbol
4:05: obelisk, might be part of the pyramid scene or the Temple of Luxor
5:30: Hanging Gardens?
6 o clock: probably Ancient Era or Classical Era symbol
6:30: colosseum
6:45: Mausoleum of Theodoric? lol
7 o clock: Caduceus icon (Economic Victory symbol?) and Himeji Castle?
8:30: Ankor Wat
9 o clock: ship's wheel icon, probably represents the Renaissance Era
9:30: El Escorial
10:30: theater mask icon (Culture Victory symbol?) and a frigate
11 o clock: mystery palace or castle wonder
11:45: Wright Flyer

I'd say there are a few mystery buildings there that could be wonders and a few icons that could hint at something in-game.

To me, this looks like that little ball where the "next turn" button is in CIV6.
Where a small arrow would go up as the ages passed.
Maybe that could be it.

Or maybe it's just a promotional icon for advertising.

I could see some drawings of wonders like pyramids, the Colosseum, Angkor Wat, the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower...

An interesting icon is that in the innermost circle there is a golden hexagon with the "snake symbol of medicine"(Caduceus of Hermes). In your opinion, could this indicate that we would have a separate/more detached health mechanic like in games like CIV4?

Ah! But it's not the staff of Asclepius, which often represents medicine. The staff of Asclepius has one snake and zero wings.

But this is the Caduceus, a staff with two snakes and wings. It commonly represents Hermes in his role as the god of commerce.

Very interesting.

Observations:
12 o clock: industry cogs. New icon?
1:30: Statue of Liberty
2 o clock: unknown icon in hex
2:15: Eiffel Tower

4 o clock: sword and shield

5:30: mystery building
6 o clock: hammer and chisel, ties into the trailer. Is this a new icon?
6:30: colosseum
7 o clock: Caduceus icon and mystery building
8:30: Ankor Wat
9 o clock: ship's wheel icon
9:30: some kind of cathedral
10:30: theater mask icon and a frigate
11 o clock: mystery building
11:45: Wright Flyer

Good eyes.

Also, wanted to point out the obvious that this is basically a timeline, going chronologically from the bottom of the C to the top of the C.

I wonder why some hexagons are bigger than the others. Another possibility for what they could represent is eras, I think.

Yeah, the outer ring is definitely going in chronological order. The three hexes there: Hammer and chisel, ship's wheel, and cogs are probably Ancient, Renaissance, and Industrial Eras.

The inner ring's hexes are something else though. Possibly victory types.

Interesting thought; so the 2 sets of hexes are different sizes because they may represent 2 different things.

The only problem I have with that theory is the seeming lack of completeness. I'd figure that whatever the hexes represent, they should represent the idea in totality: all victory types, all eras, whatever. But I guess that isn't absolutely necessary.

They may not have the religious or diplomatic victory at launch. I think the one in the upper right is a beaker and flask representing a Science Victory.

OK, that makes sense to me. Then we have domination, economic, cultural, and science victories.

But surely there are more than 3 eras in the game, right?

Probably. But it would look cluttered if they did every era as a hex on the outside of the C

Regarding the 3 largest golden hexagons in the outermost "C" and a certain "sequence of eras represented in the chronological order in which the eras appear in CIV6"
there are three hexagons:

1st hammer and chisel - exit from antiquity (pyramids wonder) and entry into the Classical era (colosseum)
2nd rudder/helm - exit from the medieval era (Angkor Wat wonder) and entry into the renaissance era (??? wonder, maybe St. Basil's Cathedral/some important orthodox church)
3rd two gears - exit from the industrial era (???? wonder) and entry into the modern era (statue of liberty + eiffel tower wonder)

maybe they represent moments where the player changes the type of government. something based on CIV6.

where the first change of government from Chiefdom to Autocracy+Classical Republic+Oligarchy in tech Political Philosophy.

and the subsequent hexagons would be more or less like these markings...

I noticed similarities... Man, I'm so Hyped

There's probably additional information to glean from the style of the logo itself. @JNR13 pointed out that the sculpture-like design indicates the game might emphasize 3D space more (depth and height). And of course the style is quite ornate, which could point to overall theming.
