Introducing Exploration Age civ, Ming China!

Emerging from the shadow of Mongol-dominated Yuan, the Ming turned inward, revitalizing Han traditions and fortifying Chinese infrastructure and economy. The Ming dynasty saw expansions and improvements to the Great Wall, the installation of a tributary system that bolstered defense and dependency, and Ming goods becoming the most desired commodities in the global market. But when silver sources collapsed, unpaid Ming vassals rebelled, leading to the rise of the Manchu-dominated Qing.

The Social Policy ability is interesting... can you slot less than the maximum, unlike in 6?

China’s path seems like it’ll be a lot of fun to play through once we have the third civ revealed. Is this the first civ we’ve seen get a resource starting bias?

Forbidden City culture bonus is going to go a long way towards a cultural victory if you’ve built enough of the Great Wall.

It seems most of the Exploration civs do. Abbasid got Camels and Mongolia got Horses, off the top of my head.

we've got the soundtrack and art, too! everything very punctual today.

Somehow, I feel building-wise a Chinese only run is getting rather boring. Can you overbuild the Han Great Wall with Ming Great Walls at least?
Surprised to get an enhanced version of the Great Wall, but it makes more sense for the Ming to get the Great Wall than the Han, anyways. Not sure if you can outright replace them but at least you will be able to presumably add them adjacent to an existing wall.

Kind of wished they got a unique Treasure Fleet based off of Zheng He's voyages, but everything else looks good.

I was expecting maritime trade and construction of wonders, since many grand monuments were built during the Ming period.

But this seems fun. It’s the most science-focused civilization revealed so far in Exploration.

I wonder how big the science penalty is per slot, and if its possible to reduce your science by a lot if there’s ways to get extra policy slots

So, does the Han Great Wall count as a Fortification? It doesn't say so.

If Qing China is in the game, what would be their wonder?

I’m going to join the couple others in the chorus that are slightly disappointed that we’re not getting ming treasure fleets and instead a second great wall improvement

I do think the ability is interesting and VERY curious to use that unit. This will be more of a “wait and see” civ for me to use.
