It seems the recent announcement of Civ6 has not stopped the new challenges!
The new Civ6 monthly challenge, going from July 16 until August 14 is: Live Yongle Reaction.

I might check it out this weekend, but it seems like just a regular Civ game but with only 2 victory options? And online speed and tiny map, should be a quick one. 2 settings I never use for myself.

It's mostly about which VC is more popular here as they will show the stats after the challenge ends

Culture is usually faster and easier to achieve.

I got Mt. Roraima next to my Capital in my 1st roll, so I went for Holy sites but the early science from the NW is making me fly through the tech tree.

Funny thing this challenge is on from july 16th to august 6th, whilst all the others went on for a full month !

Can we infer from this info that the CIV 7 reveal promised in august will actually be precisely on august the 6th ???

We've tried! Console players cannot download saves and using the game setup with game seed does not place the civs in the same way as the game creator does, so it does not work.
This is the discussion of the issue from the Game of the Month forum.

For some reason after a 2k launcher update, Civ6 now says preparing for first time launch every time I launch the game now. Which means it takes quite a while before the game even boots up.

This is the point where I b...complain about 2k launcher.

Thankfully that didn't wipe out my hall of fame or anything. I know it's been a while since I played, but not that long (since the last challenge). Oh well, time for some Yongle.
