In honor of Tecumseh Memorial Day on October 5, our devs will be sitting down with Shawnee guests Chief Barnes and Karl Meyer to talk about Tecumseh's legacy and the rich history of the Shawnee. Tune in Oct 8 at 10AM PT / 1PM ET / 5PM GMT / 7PM CEST on the Firaxis Games Twitch channel for an inside look at how Tecumseh's leadership and the Shawnee people are represented in Civ VII, in close collaboration with the Shawnee Nation.

While we'll be showing a glimpse of the Shawnee civ in the Exploration Age, this stream will focus primarily on the creative process behind bringing a civ to life in Civ VII. For those curious about more detailed gameplay and mechanics for the Exploration Age - it's on the way! We'll be diving into that in our next livestream after this one, so stay tuned for more details.

Here's what you can expect in this stream:
  • Tecumseh First Look!
  • Dev & Guest discussion on bringing Shawnee/Tecumseh to life in Civ VII!
  • Sneak peak of Shawnee civ gameplay!
Our devs and guests are so excited to share this one with you, so we hope you join us during this stream! Thanks all! 🧡

This is very exciting! I look forward to hearing what the guests have to say and to see Tecumseh in action.

I'm also excited for a glimpse of the Exploration Age.

I'm super interested in this! Thank you for putting this together. As someone who modded a lot of indigenous Americans into civ 5, it's always cool to see how the living members of the civ see their portrayals.

This will be great. I always like the indigenous civs the best; they always have the most fun bonuses.

Small weird thing I can't get out of my mind though: how the Normans and the Shawnee are from the same Age, and England and the Shawnee are not! It's just bonkers. For young people who don't have much of a history background yet, I think it's going to cause some confusion one day when they finally learn historic events that relate those nations.

Oh come on! I mean, i know it's traditional for Firaxis to release new information at the most inconvienent times for PolyCast coverage, but at some point it has to go our way once, right? We record on the Saturday before this!

I'm kidding, of course. It's great to see our Community Manager active on the forums, and Civ 7 news and reveals are always welcome whenever they come.

Will you start with a fresh exploration (advanced) start, showing how that works, or will it be a continuation of an existing ancient era start, Sarah? :)

The more Civ news the merrier! :grouphug: I'll definitely be tuning in and listening to the next one!

I wonder if we get a level-up screen for the third age :)

Great Q -- excited to show off advanced start with this one!

Good news, curious to see how it's done too.

I think civ4 had something of this kind IIRC.
