Introducing Pachacuti!

Pachacuti assumed rule over the kingdom of Cuzco around 1438 after defending it from invasion, and soon began to conquer neighboring regions. He had military and political prowess in equal measure – those he could not take by force he plied with gifts, promising autonomy and prosperity in exchange for loyalty. The Inca Empire would only continue for some sixty years after his death, when the Spanish came, but Pachacuti’s legacy endures nonetheless.

Inca confirmed as well.

Super happy to see a native South American leader in the base game. I would have liked a different Sapa Inka, but I guess he's just the most famous one.

Nice that the food from mountains is on the leader, and not on the Inca or their terrace farms.

Pachacuti was unexpected. Looks like he's similar to his Civ 6 appearance in terms of agenda.

Yawns......Pachacuti for the third game in the row......How many different designs can we give him?

Firaxis is really playing it safe this time.

His voice actor sounds different from the Civ6 VA.

I think Pachacuti is becoming as canonical as Monty.
Having him back doesn’t particularly bother me, though.

Btw, if Montezuma isn’t in the base game, he’s a good candidate for Right to Rule.

Someone on Youtube did pointed out Pachacuti is the first leader returning from Civ6. I doubt he'll be the only one. I'm expecting Alexander, Elizabeth, Suleiman, Dido, Montezuma I, and Genghis Khan at the very least.

I don't think that anyone of these besides Genghis Khan (and to limited extent Monty) are likely to be in the base game. Alexander and Dido would have been revealed already. Suleiman will come with his civ, England/Britain can do with a new face.

Shaka is bound to appear also, even if the Zulu don't get their own civ.

I'd expect Elizabeth to return, especially if we don't get a proper English civ.

Very odd that he was chosen as he was a leader in Civilization VI. High hopes for Basil II. The model is beautiful, his look is based on his statue from Plaza de Armas of Cusco. I also love the Incan look of the Men-at-Arms unit, it gives me hope that each individual unit will have a native look appropriate to the civilization it originates from.
