I love his Achaemenid persona.

Wow, best looking leader so far. What a cool design. Really excited to see this one, and I love that he got the persona treatment.
Very much agree. I particularly like the attention to detail on his kohl. His skin looks great, too--some of the early leaders looked plastic and flat, but Xerxes looks very healthy.

Xerxes evolving his Archaenemid Persia into Mongolia. = OFF to me.
Abbasids and Mongols both conquered Persia so either way is an evolution by conquest; could also argue Abbasids are geographic.

I would have liked Zarathustra, but I guess he would have been too "Jesus"-like. ;-) Xerxes is great. When will we see a double persona without a war focus? Maybe works great for one to focus on religion and one on not. Or seafaring one and one not. So special ones and normal ones. I mean i just wouldn't have guessed Xerxes for two personas... ;-)

I’m concerned that the agendas are going to be just as annoying as in Civ 6 though.

King of Kings is angry if I’m not at war… that’s just Civ 6 Alex all over again!

And the Achaemenid wants to trade, but is angry if I have… as many trade routes as he does? So if it is the start of the game and I send him a trade route and he send me one… he is mad at me for trading with him?!

If his persona is named after "Achaemenid", I see the possibility of renamed Achaemenid & Sassanid DLC is decreasing.

But he and his empire seems cool enough in Civ7, I'll take that. Modders will do their job :)

Age II 'Persian Successor state' should be 'Islamic Persia' rather than Zoroaster one. too short live to be 'medieval civ'.

Does the road split into unpassable cliff just because there is an improved tile next to it? Around 1:03 in the video.
Nice to see economy path leader from Antiquity.
