IM MORE OF A global civilization sort of person. what if you made this scenario using hildalgo's western.mp ? on this map your using it seems if you conquer all of the map all you acomplish is the union of the Angevian Empire.
one thing i learned a month ago when studying this period of history called the middle ages 500 to 1517 AD i found that after the british isles where re-peataly attacked by the vikings from 793 to 1066 ad the british did not try seek revenge on the vikings and invade the scandinavin states. in stead the british peoples invaded france and tried to align there culture with that part of europe which was very effective strategy. what was created was a confederation known as the frankish-angevian union. which was meging the culture of the british isles and the remanents of the frank empire known as charlemagne's empire that was on the map when he died in the early 800's AD if the english could have suceeded in conquering the french early on by say 1250 AD then a western roman empire could have been established. all they would have to do then was defeat the muslims from Spain and portugal and then it would have been so. elsewhere in the empire was the holy roman empire that was run by the germans they ruled over italy and would have welcomed the british to be there allies should France have been conquered. by frankish Angevian confederation never came the french put up steep resistence for a few century's and in the end all that came was strong central governments of England and France while Germany and Italy fell into a dark age and for centuries after war were not strong central governments and became provincial states that where not to re-unite till the year 1870. so making this cenario for Western.mp would be a incredible history. iv found that making the game map only a few nation states is fun for creating small region empires but fails in keeping the game going when the entire map gets dominated when its to be united by a single part such as in real life. im currently working on one of these scenario's and im playing as the despotate of Epirius but its far from completion as the scenario had many erros in city placement but its coming along well.
