New improvement idea

Seeing as how there is already a lumber mill that you can put on forests to give that +1 in production, I feel that there should be an improvement that gives an +1 food that can only be built on forest.

They could call it an orchid, you can start building them upon the discovery of Construction along with the lumber mill and get +1 food for each upon the discovery of Fertilization.

Its for those times where you want to keep the rough terrain around your city but want more food instead of production. WIth the orchid, you wouldnt be forced to chop down the forests and make farms.

I assume you mean orchard. An orchid is a type of flower.

Alnyway, I don't see the need for this. Right now there is a clear trade-off involed in a decision to farm or cut the trees down.
If you could get more food without clearing the forest, you'd 'have your cake and eat it too'.
