new iPad does it keep Hall of Fame & Achievements?

Hello fellow Civ players, my 3.5 year old iPad Pro has phantom presses that I've been ignoring, but can really mess things up playing civ. So I'm thinking about coughing up the money to buy a new iPad. Question: when replacing an iPad, is the Hall of Fame history and Achievements lost? Does it matter if I set up a new iPad from scratch vs restore from backup?
