Looking good so far, thanks to all for the hard work!

One question - is it intended that the AI will only offer (and want) 2-3 gpt for a luxury? I mean, that's less than before.

Here is a list describing the GWW part of the More GPs project.

Beware, for those who don't want to be spoiled and prefer discovering by themselves these new GWWs and recordings.

But, first and foremost, I would like to thank :
  • Asterix Rage for making this project possible and giving us constant feedback on recordings;
  • @adan_eslavo for his help in finding GWWs, most notably for the 20th and 21st centuries and in the science-fiction department;
  • The Bearded Lady, @pineappledan and @Catan for their help in finding GWWs and quotes and their numerous recordings of high quality.
As for the new recordings themselves.

Spoiler I am a long list and I like it :

This project features 50 new recordings, 35 of which are already integrated in this version of VP. Among them, 34 are for new GWWs, one is for the already existing Genesis GWW, which had no recording until now, and two are easter eggs which I'll reveal at the end for those who want.

I'll do here the list of the 49 new GWWs, with separation between eras.

Finally, here are the easter eggs, for those who dislike eggs and secrets in equal measure.

Spoiler BEWARE those who like to discover easter eggs by themselves :

Contrary to other GWWs, easter eggs have other elements than a reading of the quote in their recordings.

First, Asterix the Gaul from René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo (but only Goscinny is used as a GWW, for he was the one responsible for the writing) is our way to thank Asterix Rage for the project. As for the recording, it is an audio extract from the movie Asterix in Britain, for it sums up things quite nicely and respect the "English only rule".

Second is The Call of Cthulhu from Howard Philips Lovecraft. It is a quote in R'lyehian, read with a sound background coming from here. Of course, respecting the Lovecraft style, it is not made to be pleasant to the ear. It was a fun part of the project, and I hope you'll like it.

I'll need some feedbacks on coal and aluminum amounts, as well as the starting position placements (too crowded/too isolated).

I have always wondered what the proper starting location distances should be to be balanced.
I so dislike really close positions, feels so open to cheese.

It's not about the distance, more like the distribution of civs across islands. This version should reduce the probability of a civ starting on an island alone. Only applies to Continents-type maps, of course.

Ahh yes the "I meet my first other civ with caravels" issue.

EDIT2: More GPs is currently broken! Should be fixed soon.

It's included in this new version, right? Should we wait before starting a new game?

Fixed GP issue - savegame compatible (properly VFSs a few art assets that had their flags set to false).

Just tested this version with IGE, and there are some problems :
  • First, there seem to be an icon problem concerning the Hacienda, at least when opening the IGE (no problem when seeing it in the menu, so it could be one specific icon which doesn't work as wanted). It simply says "Haciendaicon missing".
  • Second, concerning the More GPs part, after spamming GWriters, it appears that only one that isn't from the base game appeared (see spoiler) : at some point, only base GWriters with no ability to create GWWriting appeared. Also, when using that unique GW from the More GP project to create its GWW, the music stopped when the recording was playing, which isn't the case for other GWriters.
  • Third, the new recording for Moses Genesis isn't played when the GP is used. There is like in the previous VP versions a musical background.
Spoiler Spoiler for those who still want to discover the new GPs :

The one GWriter from the More GPs project which appeared was Sin-Leqi-Unninni for the Epic of Gilgamesh.

Also, I like the new icon for border growth points. Its clear and clean.

It's giving me an error saying the file was 'blocked because it could harm your device'. I didn't get this msg last night when i did a reinstall.

Yes i can run it anyway (which I did), but new people could be concerned, and again, this msg didnt come up with the previous version I installed yesterday. I dont think whatever changed was on my end. Just an FYI

Their Armada also lost its innate Boarding Parry II in 3/4 UC. I suppose such changes are needed for the sake of balance. :mischief:

Yeah, you have Armories built by the time you can get Armadas, and since faith-bought ships get full XP you were able to get Boarding Party III/Double Attack Armadas fresh from the docks. That's nasty that early in the game and those double-attack Armadas will level up even further very quickly, leading to a naval power snowball.
