EDIT: I fixed this by running my media player, playing then pausing an MP3, and running the game. Interesting little glitch!

I've looked through the first 11 pages or so to see if anyone else has this problem. It's not a game breaker, and it may not even be a problem as such, but it's niggling at me.
Basically, the music and audio sounds as if it is of much lower quality than it is. It's as like the music is being streamed off the internet with a low bandwidth connection. I tried playing the music/sound in several media players and it is of the quality I would expect from a game. I have had no problems like this in any other game!
I run a terratec DMX Fire soundcard, and I have tried every sound option setting in the game. I have also tried disabling any apps that use sound, and my sound control panel, things like that. I even tried lowering the "hardware accelleration" setting within windows, to no avail.
It might be that the sound is like this for everyone...I have no real way to test this. If you can help me, this would be excellent! I have posted my system specs and dxdiag below.
