Do you think it would be a good idea to add a new subforum to the Colosseum section of the website, where all the political threads can be catagorized.
This way a lot of the current OT topics will of course be in the "International Politics" section, but there will still a lot of topics left for OT.

Btw, I know this sort of thread could be in the "site feedback" section, but I think it concerns the OT'ers more.

Everything seems under control as it is. :)

No need to change that, is there?

We have that here. Moving it would deplete OT almost by half.

Indeed, but it seems kinda awkward that you have a seperate sports section but no seperate politics section.

No, if you do that only spam will be left in OT. BTW, shouldn't this be in the SF forum?

If we do we should just call it US politics because nobody cares about the politics of all those loser nations (everywhere but the US) anyways.

Just separating international politics wouldn't change a thing.

I suggested in other thread that what OT needs is "sticky" sub-forum where to put most used threads, most interesting and largest threads that get otherwise bumped down. Then normal material that stays couple of days in the first page plus all the spam-news material can stay in OT. Nobody ever has really desire to resurrect them and they gets replaced with another similar thread about almost same subject. People miss lot of chances to actually have discussion or debate as threads go down from the first page.

I think currently many good threads get bumped down without any other reason but yet another "My fingernail broke -Help!" or "What's Mike's favourite Cheeze?" types of threads.

I see this eating the status of OT and degrading it level to spam/trollfest.

I have seen quite bunch of forums and there are quite bunch of interesting people here but I think there's a problem with how the OT is structured and it leaves forum with serious handicap.

BTW, this thread should maybe end up after a while into Feedback-forum.

I think the title of this thread should be changed, because having a quick glance at the newest post at SF made me actually think there was a new subfora.

I'm for it. Looking for a stimulating chat about world affairs would be easier without having to leaf through all of the other fluff.

I'd be for it but on numerous occasions it has been stated that OT will not be split up any more than it already is.

So was I. I was thinking that Thunderfall had made a mistake with creating a new forum. It should say, should there be a new ... So not to confuse people and show that this is a suggestion thread and not an official announcement that could happen, had TF wanted to.

While some parts of this forum needs to be split up, OT doesn't.

The only thing OT should split is from colloseum.

I'm all for it.. that way I don't have to sift through the first 1-4 pages to find a thread I'm interested in.

Besides, how would you define "International Politics" anyway? I'm not sure how many different countries are represented by the OT regulars, but it's enough to make almost any political thread "international."
