This is a combilation of some small modmods I made.

1) Pathfinders (Psst... This way!)
Gives the Scouts, Explorers and Adventurers the abillity to lead any army, giving the led army better visibillity and easier travel in rough terrain.


2) Organized Military (Reeeeetreeeeat!!!!!)
Any army built in a city with a barrack or garrison is granted the Tactics promotion.


3) Army Supplies (Yummy! Dried fish. Again...)
Any army built in a city with a Granary or Modern Granary is granted the Supply Rations promotion giving the army +1 movement.


4) Ranged Bombardments (Incoming!!!!!)
Changed the DCM bombard range for ships and sieges starting from Cannons and Early Destroyers (Range 2) to Rocket Artillery, NLOS AEGIS and Missile Cruisers (Range 4).

These 4 small modmods (especially the last three) will alter the battle of Civ4 (RoM), giving new dynamics instead of just the traditionally 1 move & win/loose situations.

Let the war begin....

Well, first of all it needs some playtesting and some critism/comments. Then its up to Afforess ;)
As I understand CIV5 will have 2 moves as the standard, so this is a test of what to come. I was also tired of Civ4 being a terrific builder game, but a terrible combat strategy game, therefore the retreat promotion and extra move. Hopefully this will open up for more strategic advances/defences rather than just the 1move SOD. I also changed the range of siege weapons and ships starting from cannon being range 2.
 
2, 3 & 4 the AI uses.

2 and 3 are basically impossible to avoid, as most bigger AI cities will have a granary and barracks.

Haven't seen them building scouts, adventurers or explorers yet. Think its a matter of not enough strenght. And since they dont build them they cant really use them for upgrading units.
 
Of course not. Zappara only released 2.9 a few hours ago!!
