My first post is to introduce the graphics modpack that I have been working on for the past month.

What I have changed:
the coastline now has rocky cliffs and beaches,
grassland is now greener,
plains are more distinct from desert with long yellow grass,
desert has sand dunes,
tundra is changes to brown and has polygons and lakes,
mountains are more rocky and I have tried to make them look more connected.

I have used Snoopy's trees but changed the colours slightly to match better.

I took inspiration from the irrigation by CCJ39's but have radically changed it.

This is a screenshot showing the basic terrain.

Any comments or constructive criticism are welcome.

I really like the irrigation, but the color contrast between the various landforms looks too stark for my tastes and the mountains look like anthills, too uniform.

Looks nice! The sharp contrast between different terrain type reminds me of Heroes II and III. Good job! :goodjob:

I downloaded it and will try it out later. I like the screen shots.

I like it exept the tundra and the desert, but i will give it a try, later;)

Okay i tried it now and i wanted to mix some of it with other graphics(womoks and Snoopy), but i cant get rit of the stones that apear instead of a shield in the grasslands, i want my shields back how do i get them?

Replace tnt.pcx (Tufts and Turds) with the original.

Irrigation - very cool...
Water-sublime

But the contrasts on land hurt my eyes....
Try and subtley blend all the different terrains...So it has a less harsh appearance, more like snoopys terrain pack

Otherwise...keep up the good work!

I havent done it, i like these new shields(or rocks) they look much better when you get use to them. But thanks anyway.

Thanks for all the positive remarks

The contrast between the terrain on the land is deliberate, maybe it is myopia or my monitor but I found it difficult to tell desert from plains. The grassland was too dull for my liking and spread into the other terrain too much, I wanted it to follow the gridlines closer.

The bonus grassland "shields" (if you have not guessed already) are the mountains and trees from Civ 2.

ok i am going to switch back but i just discovered that forgot to back up the files, it must have been becorse i did not knew they where there. So could anyone post the original files, pleeease.:)

Are anyone just thinking of helping me out of this trouble?

its just the original tnt.pcx file i need, not some big file that would take more than a second to zip and post.

The original tnt.pcx is on your Civ 3 CD-Rom, you do have one don't you?

The moderators would not look kindly on anyone who posts original civ 3 files.
