New to modding, need help

Hello, I've been thinking about modding games for a while. I injured myself and am out of work for at least the next week so I figured I have some time to start.

I was wondering if anyone could make suggestions for an accessible modding project that I could learn quickly and get some good progress on over the next week. I want to use it as a confidence booster. I don't want to start a ambitious project, only to not be able to finish it once I get back to working full time.

I have Civ 4, 5, 6, BE and Civ4:Col, so it could be any of those, but I would probably prefer 5 or 6 since they are the most relevant.

Why not make a custom civ for Civ6?

Heck, for laughs, why not make yourself a leader of a custom civ? You know, like a joke.

Just something simple like that would be a great way to get into modding.
