Well... that looks like it could be interesting...

I just realized how much of a hold the Civ series has regarding the genre of historical "stone-to-space age" games. I've played similar games in my childhood, like Empire Earth II and Rise of Nations, albeit more RTS than turn-based strategy, but ask anyone about any games that have a similar time scale, and Civilization immediately comes to mind.I'm just glad they still haven't done anything with fantasy.
Would def be interesting to see a Civ clone. Note that Jon Shafer was hired to work with them on an un-named project and he did for a bit but was eventually let go. They did manage to copy and popularize the super fancy tootltip concept he developed for At The Gates. It seems pretty likely that this is the game he had been hired for. Gonna be fascinating to see how it turns out.
Amplitude Studios / Sega PublisherWait... I thought Humankind was released/published by Paradox?

Yep, the ParadoxPlaza subreddit has other supposed teaser art posted and much of it is decidedly unhistorical (underwater city for one). What do you mean? Paradox?
They make Age of Wonders, it's there on the tab. And apparently this game will include non-historical elements. @pokiehl knows more, I think it's on reddit.
That was years ago. He joined June 2017 and left by November the same year. I doubt there’s any relation at all.It seems pretty likely that this is the game he had been hired for. Gonna be fascinating to see how it turns out.
Millennia seems like a good name for a strategy game encompassing the entire history of humanity. Apparently it will be made by a studio other than Paradox Development Studio, so we can expect something different from its GSG. Remembering that C Prompt Games also follows CivFanatics' Twitter, so we can say that the possibility of a Civ-like is very high. I can't stand 4x games like Civ Turn-based anymore, if I were to do something related to that I would like them to use Paradox's "tick" system instead of using turn-based system.

Other images found on the C Prompt Studio website look like they could mean it might have some magical elements(?). In the previous art the steampunk aspect is very strong, and below there is one showing an underwater city. On the other hand, I didn't see anything about "magic", apart from an image that seems to come out of King Arthur's tale, just technological advances in fiction.
Spoiler :
That's pretty cool art. The structure in the background is so ominous.Posting the second teaser released on the CK3 account a couple days ago, which is missing from this thread:
