New Unit - Alien, October 20, 2017

The Aliens are invading!

This Alien comes with his Pulse Energy Gun to Blast and Kill his enemies. You can also Airdrop the Alien with a Spaceship that Beams him down.

This Unit also comes with all image files for the "Alien Invasion" Great Wonder and the "Alien Transport Station" Improvement.

Remade the Default Flc to use Offsets so the Unit is seen on the Bottom Right Game Unit Window Box Better.

All files have been Game Tested

I made the Attack Blast so it works with a 1 tile Ranged Attack or with no Ranged Attack.
I made Laser Beam and Laser Ball attacks but they caused problems with Ranged Attack and No Ranged Attack that takes place in Game.

Meant to comment about this unit sooner, but got distracted while playtesting it - on my Old West map, no less (Cowboys vs. Aliens, anyone? heh) where it looks just great, particularly the flash! ray gun attack.

Kudos, Vuldy - another great unit that would seem at first to have limited use, but actually opens up all sorts of cool possibilities!

 

I just knew he had a gun stashed somewhere in the Winnebago.

assumed ı had posted , but anyhow . Cool by the looks of it even if not downloaded yet . Do people have time to develop a whole line , making this the "warrior" to be followed by spears and the lot ?

 

If an alien 'pack' is what you're looking for r16, I recommend that you check out Supa's "Selenites". This fella, with his advanced weaponry, might upgrade from those...

 

thanks for the suggestion . ı have that already , they could be used up as one single AI's initial units . They somehow don't feel as capable of going to Alfa Centuari or coming here for that matter .

 

Oh man, I love him. I have to find a way to put this into a mod somehow.

 

I Updated the Alien to correct the Attack Flc and Sound. This prevents the Attack Sound from playing again when the Alien stops attacking as well as playing as the Alien Dies.

Thought I had the Attack Flc and Sound working well but found it was playing again as the Alien died.
