Ok, the update for the Romans is ready. They have better anti-alias, some reworked, and some totally new anims.

I also attach units32 icons for all units here (in case you already have them you don't need them again - these are the same as in the earlier version). Animated previews in the post(s) below :)

Late republican legio

Please make sure you use the fixed AttackA anim (attached here in this post)

Updated attack sounds
Dl the attached file snd.zip. It contains two modified attack sounds and new ini files for the three legionaries. Copy the sounds and the proper ini file in the folder of your legionarie(s) to use them .

Great units BeBro :goodjob:

on a side note: it seems unit packs have become a fashion:hmm:

Yeah... similar units in huge packs. That's silly - you can increase easily your post-count, if you post all units separately... ;) j/k

Packs are great, but there's one downside (especially on slower connections): If you need only one unit of the pack, you still need to download all units (but needing only one from a bunch of such great units would be very rare - almost stupid ;) )

And how do yu think I've got my 2000+ posts :D ? Beside posting silly comment about yours?

Great units! My only suggestion would be to smoothen up the graphics a little bit, if possible. They look a little too sharp, IMHO.

Still a great job, I have to admit.

Warning : all the units have the infamous "ghost pixel" in the E orientation of AttackA (it's also probably in the SE and SW).
A "ghost pilum" stays in air when it reaches the edge.
To avoid this, check that you have 2 empty columns of on the right side of each frame. No part of the animation can touch the right edge.

Damn, how´s that possible - I swear I checked it :(

Sorry guys, seems I have to do an update despite I didn´t want to do so. Ok I will fix that asap

OK, the link to the updated full zip is in the first post.

Sorry again, but sometimes **** happens ;)

Excellent, excellent, excellent! :goodjob:
Now the only two remaining units required for the Romans is an Imperial Auxiliary and an Imperial Archer. ( ;) )

Far be it from me to suggest any stats for these lovely new units....
("That has never stopped you before Kryten!" )
....but may I offer the following:-

Republican Legionary = attack 3, defence 2, move 1, requires NO resources, available with Iron Working, costing 30.
Imperial Legionary = attack 3, defence 3, move 1, requires iron, and is available with Monarchy, costing 30.
Auxiliary Cavalry = attack 3, defence 1, move 2, requires horses (obviously), becomes available with Monarchy, costing say 40.

:)

Woohoo. More units for my fantasy mod! I feel like it's Christmas or Hanekuh or something.:crazyeye:
Did I spell that right?
