New update: monthly events now available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox! + Expansion Access Issue Now Resolved for PS/Xbox players

Hey all! In addressing an issue affecting our PS/Xbox players - I have a happy accident to share: Civ players on PlayStation and Xbox can now join in on the fun of monthly challenges - a week early!

This update will resolve an issue preventing PlayStation players from accessing expansion content. This also means that PlayStation and Xbox players can jump into this month's challenge: Live Yongle Reaction. (Or, wait for next week for a brand new challenge! Whatever you're feeling.) Nintendo Switch players, we're working on pushing this live tomorrow - so I'll update this post as soon as it's available!

For any players still experiencing an issue, please submit a ticket with 2k support so we can help. Thanks all for your patience as the team worked to address this!

That is awesome news, been wanting that for a long time!
Clocked me some 2000 hours in this game since 2016, but extending it a bit more with these challenges is surely appreciated.

I have one issue to report, that's been ongoing for a few years, regarding multiplayer.

The "Retrieving host information..." still happens when trying to join a lobby. My friend is on PS5, has only the base game + free DLCs and yet can't join anybody, not even me with all the premium content disabled.
It's been marked as a "known bug" for a very long time but it's yet to be solved - it doesn't seem to be an actual workaround either, other than (maybe?) changing ISP but that's just not feasable for everybody unfortunately.

I hope we can get a status update about this issue, thanks a lot for all your work and can't wait to catch up with Civ VII later this month

They've made it work on Mac, too, but I don't know why they bothered. The first one was 'you are the Vikings, you like in Antarctica, and the sea is made of boiling acid'. This week's one is 'you are Babylon, and your ability does the same on civics as well, but the penalty is like 95%, but it's deity so the AI will furiously stamp on every sandcastle you build if you don't fish for a legendary start, if you have any kind of compulsive or addictive tendencies then enjoy five hours of fishing then wondering why your eyes and dopamine receptors don't work'

These are tougher remakes of more standard previous challenges.
If you did not play the previous ones, you will find the current ones probably rather uninteresting.
