Any chance for an MP pack for this?
I too noticed that in my game with the bugged version. Made a comment on github but didn't get a reply. Let's see if the hot fix takes care of it otherwise I plan to report as a separate issue..
I can relate to this, but would agree only if liberation were a lot harder. That, in my mind, would be ideal. Otherwise, it's much easier to let the barbs take a CS.
Very good chance of it tomorrow. Stay tuned.
I'm seeing a lot of barbarian cataphracts, very early. 6 have killed themselves on my city walls already...and I haven't even researched pottery yet.
EDIT: Looked at Github...so it is an events and decisions conflict? Think I'm going to continue the game anyway. Kind of amusing dealing with what are essentially firebreathing dragons.
EDIT part 2: Dragons get boring after a while. Looks like the issue is the prereq tech for the decision cataphracts is "null". Going to try switching that to Chivalry.
Pressure issue tied to TR issue (both use same pathfinder). All resolved in hotfix posted earlier today.
Hi, I've seen two instances where the AI ignored an empty barb camp. In both cases, the AI unit was fully healed (once it was a melee unit, the second time a chariot archer or sth) and was not at war with anyone. That allowed me to swoop in and clear the camp.
I hate to be party pooper but I should bring this up into discussion.
The AIs in this versions seem to be extremely under-performing. In 9-19, I used to have trouble catching up techs, wonders, ideology in King (Difficulty 5). An AI always beat me in scores and some aspects.
But in this version, despite I picked Inca/Celts/Denmark, which I'm very good them; appropriate combination of beliefs, policies, play-style, etc, in some of my games, It was still way too easy to grab most wonders; behead in cultures, science; beating disordered army, conquering Montezuma; Convert almost everyone into christian. I even have twice the score of the second best player. I'm confident that I could easily conquer this world.
I have some good cities and large area:

I hope this sounds like report more than complaints. If you need any logs, I would upload them.
umm, it's good to see a new version of CBP, but anyone here knows how to have 23+ civs with CBP? or when is it gonna be implemented in CBP sirs? cheers!
Happy to report that waiting time is now really short between turns
You can't as of now, and it's not going to happen in the short term.
I haven't had the experience of them approaching an empty barb camp, but when I'm trying to clear them, they are watching and swoop in and grab it on me when the unit is weak. And when a hoard was attacking a city state, they took them one. They are really competing in a way with the barbs and bar tasks like I've never seen before. There was alot more swearing during last night game and it wasn't because of the debates
It's unlikely that the AI got worse at teching. More likely is that your game's improved. Hey... it happens.
awww... that's so sad to here, can I just get a reason why? a technical one perhaps? I am so very eager to play this CBP with 23+ civs, is there anyone or maybe some code to edit to not limit it like the other dll does? nevermind the balances maybe but there must be some code that enables that?
You can't get a technical explanation from me, but it's been discussed before. If it were as simple as editing a bit of code, you can be sure it would have happened already.
Others having a problem that downloaded installer is not working? It just won't open.
These are some interesting changes. Especially the barbarian overhaul, and ability to vassal civs you rescue.
Just wondering though G, what inspired the choice for the Empire State Building to end the Rationalism Tree? It's not really a complaint, I get the whole timing thing, but does the Empire State building even have scientific benefits that I just don't know about, because from my memory, it provides +1 Gold to Specialist and a Free Stock Exchange. If anything, it's an Industry Finisher (Not that I'm dissing the Big Ben or anything). What about Bletchley Park? It's appropriate contextually, and having more spies will help you not only protect your technologies, but steal from those who may contest you.
Memory issue. Needs lots of testing. Every new civ you add to the game increases the memory needs of the game exponentially.
The timing is the primary issue, however it is also a specialist wonder (boosting gold), which is a primary benefit of grabbing rationalism (better specialists). Empire State Building is also one of the better wonders of that time period, thus making Rationalism the unlock makes Rationalism a bit stronger (Rationalism is actually one of the least-selected branches in the late-game).
I suppose that's true, and I guess it works thematically. Seems a bit odd for the context of why it's the building for Rationalist, but hey, I'll get used to it. There were plenty of other things in the patch I got used to after all.
more spies can help you at some point, but certainly not with technologies in this stage of game
and tbh, this same problem can also have statecraft with its forbidden palace. and i dont know why rationalism seems to people underperforming. to me it seems a rly good. +5 science for every strategic resource(playing on communitas benefits this a lot), +2c and +3s for villages makes them more worth to work even out of roads.. benefits for specialists are already in place and well done in my opinion and those upper policies are not that strong in same cases, but still worth fullfill whole branch. to me Empire state building doesnt seem a chood choice. Better would be replace Porcelain tower to another tech?
