    It seems like a whole lot but progress policies give you small bursts of culture (from buildings) so it's not actually so bad.

    Especially if you're a warmonger with Authority, you'll never lose pace in culture.

    VP gives so many burst bonuses that the per turn yields can be very misleading...they matter a lot less than in the base game

    @Gazebo Can u pls reconsider valuing strategic resources by AI. just suggestion. They can be such nice oportunities for bribing players into war,just come with some nice deal condition. i mean its nice Ai is willing do that but they overpricing their strat. resources resulting into offers like ,,DoW someone for 2 horses, which have 800 value for them. But also some fair deals like iron for horses or viceversa is impossible( again doesnt matter about relation ships, they just dont want fairly trade them). when anothers come here and defend how it works, i just feel like i play another version since almost half ,,trading'' options are impossible or overpriced. its interresting how AI can trade luxuries for luxury + give to player some bonus gold(sometimes lot) but absolutely refuse trade strategic ones, even they have 0 of it.

    to adition, i like strategic resources having more value over luxes in AI opinion but they literaly never do good offer, killing imersion. They want sell you one of strat res for 4-x GPT but want buy your 1 for 1GPT resulting in insta refuse.seriously , i dont remember if i ever in VP used diplo trade in more ways than just exchange of embasies or luxuries/ research agreements/ open borders. everything advanced(DoW/ make peace) or even ,,should we DoW'' seem to me valued impossible''

    While it may seem bothering to you, i just try bring some suggestion from my point of view.

    you rly need to hate them :D

    but to next adition :D i try point on fact, that even your best friend in relations, who you offer coop DoW someone, and he is willing to( if info from ,,What do you thing about'' can be trusted) he refuse me and in next 3 turn he rly DoW him :D Same thing with Def pact. Im playing tall, pursuing whatever non agressive and im not able get any. Second example from my Japan isolated game. I was strong, 3rd in literacy, didnt DoW anyone through all course of game and Incas, who was compressed between agresive Poland and tricky Spain refused my Def pact many times, even they were gangbanged by both x times through all game. so i just dont understand how it works.

    Sending feedback from an associate who's been powering through a standard King game as Babylon. He enjoys the more aggressive AI, and thinks that spies stealing GWs is a great addition, but it may be a bit too fast and aggressive, as he's stealing GWs every 10 turns in the midgame, and by the ate game, it's around 4 to 5 turns (of course however, this is with a LV3 spy in a 5 star city by the time it was late game), but he's still concerned, as tech stealing is comparatively so much slower.

    "Is this a bug or a feature" he told me, but of course, I assume it's a feature.

    I think this is the transition that players had to make in the late game whether or not to join in the Great Steal as Spies or the Great Delegates Count as Diplomats instead of always transitioning into diplomats for delegates.

    Timing that is definitely a work in progress – the current value is probably a little under-tuned, so I may need to make some edits.


    Question is – why would the Incan AI want a defensive pact with an admittedly isolated, far-away Japan? You wouldn't be of much use to them in a war, and they know it.

    The AI will not trade Strategic Resources 1:1 because they have different needs for them. The AI is also very stingy about getting rid of them and/or buying them if they don't actually need them. These were all exploitative vanilla loopholes that have since been closed. In general, strategic resources are harder to trade and/or get a 'good deal' on because of their, well, strategic value.

    1) i ment with isolation i spawned on my own island, those 3(inca,poland, spain) were on the other island maybe 6 tiles from that mine.

    2) ok, i used to refuse them.

    Right, but you are isolated. The AI strongly prefers DPs with a friendly neighbor.

    Defensive pact is less about actual war and more about a potential warmonger having to DoW half of the map, which it obviously wouldn't want.

    I started a new game with 9-12 but I have a nasty problem: Game ran fine over several sessions up to medieval era. Now when I try to load savegame, when I click "next turn", I have a CTD on the second AI player (the Ottomans). I tried to load an autosave from the turn before last turn (i.e. one where I had previously advanced to next turn), but now when I try to go to next turn, I have CTD immediately when I hit next turn. I tried to clear cache and re-apply mods but crash still happens in exactly the same way. I tried to check lua.log to see if anything conspicuous was in there, but I couldn't see anything that tells me anything (but I did include part of it below).

    Edit> Tried to load an autosave two turns before. Game still crashes on AI turn - again on Ottoman turn (second AI player). Can't figure out whether this is significant or not. The autosave one turn before crashes immediately when I hit next turn.

    spies rly loves me. even now all of us being in medieval era i got sabotaged Great diplomat and England nowhere in sight. so WTF ? :eek::mad:

    One of the first two policies in Statecraft (the one on the left, forget the name) gives spies. One of your neighbors should have Statecraft 2+ in their policy count display.

    Now, go kill him.
