Unusual high file size compared to 40 MB.. now.
For some reason the installer decided to jam CSD into the CBO. Whatever. Reuploading.
Do we have to delete it and install the new uploaded 9-7-2 file? I've already downloaded and been playing with the 9-7-2 file.
Just delete the (3) CSD from inside of (2) CBO.
I meant when you choose a promotion and then heal 10 hp. I was only playing with the CP and didn't get it, that's why I wanted to know where it was in the CBO so I could transfer it in.
How is the new Dutch UA treating everyone?
Currently playing Dutch. King, huge map, 10 civilizations, 24 city states. Progress-Fealty-Industry-Order
I have successfully tried the monopolies from another civilizations. It's fun to have extra 10% production and 10% extra gold without having no copper and silk tile haha. A little bit of tip, although I'm sure everyone already noticed, is to go for global monopoly. Maybe in some case you can take monopolies with extra yield on tile but definitely go for global ones. Now I'm more encouraged to sell, for example, my one cotton to civilization A and buy cotton from civilization B if the price is right. The new UA does not seem to affect how you plan to place your beautiful polder or how you control ocean with Sea Beggar, which is nice. Netherland is already my most played civ so this new change is pretty cool while not changing much of my playstyle. Culture first, gold second. The UA change also encourage you to check every civ like, every turn or so whether or not there's a new luxury resource to trade so you can have another monopoly.
By the way, It's kind of surprising for me when you said that Dutch AI always on the bottom tier, but then again I don't know stuff about testing. For me it's still an interesting UA, both current and previous one.
Another note, I thought that you rework its UA into something like "EACH exported and imported luxury resources" not "EACH DIFFERENT exported and imported luxury resources. At that time I was like, woah I can get 15 gold and 15 culture if I sell all of my tea. Turns out it's a misread in me.
I noticed the building infos you see on mouseover don't help you determine exactly what is special about your Unique Building. For instance the Bazaar.
I understand the info is contained in the text assigned to the buildingclass. Is this remediable?
Thank you for the new version! I was unable to use the previous version due to CTD issues on game start. This version doesn't have that issue. It appears that you've fixed the DLL issues.
I agree with 95% of the changes, great job! There were just a few that I reversed such as Piety (was underpowered to begin with in my opinion, i.e. didn't need a nerf).
Thank you for the awesome new version!
I've noticed a lot of unescorted civilians in my latest patch in the early game like workers hanging around capitals with no military units around, settlers wandering around, and one particularly egregious moment where 2 settlers and a worker were grouped together without an escort... had to change my Dutch shortgame strategy from friendly to aggressive .>=)
Like the two posters above, I'm really enjoying it. The Dutch are stronger, although obviously not OP. What's best about the UA is the level of engagement it encourages. If you take the time, you can strategize about how to corner markets for which you have no particular advantage. This may not be worth the effort, objectively, but is the sort of game-within-a-game that makes VP special, apart from its competitiveness.
Having desyncs with Barbarians in MP again
Didn't touch the RNG code (haven't in months). Probably just a bad connection. Civ netcode some of the worst I've ever seen.
Nope, played via local network, ping 1ms, also works fine without Barbs, we have tested it
Well, I'm just telling you that barb code hasn't been touched in awhile.
I can't install the newest version of Vox Populi. I've never had any issues in the past installing Vox Populi. However, on the last version before this one, when I tried to play a game, there were a ton of errors when it came to loading the artwork, and I had to move a folder in my mods folder to get it to work. I can't really remember everything, but anyway, at this point, the installation works fine until it reaches the artwork. Nothing installs from the artwork. I get this message for everything in the Art folder.
I'm running a Windows 10 Intel Core i5 Dell laptop with 1 TB hard drive, Inspiron 5559 6200 CPU, 2.3 GHz, with 8 GB RAM. Thanks for your attention.
True, but I've read in multiple post during the last 2 mounths saying that it was still a problem for some peoples, in a non consistant way (people having desync with barbarians with some modpack, but not with some other, for the same VP version). So there is still a bug somewhere linked to desync and barbarians, but quite rare and very difficult to reproduce.
Christmas came early for Oda Nobunaga after he proved that the world is round!
I already had 2 Great admirals and was 400/600 points for the next one when I got GA points from 6 city state quests and bam I got 3 Great admirals from all those points and with it came 3 "patronage of Daimo". too bad that I was short of my 4th admiral by only 34 points
Loving this new/old UA
quick question though, why do I receive almost twice great writer points from patronage of daimo compared to great artist and musician points ?
Is there anyone who tested / would like to test multiplayer? I have desyncs with barbarioans again, curious if it is only my problem or not?
Separate names with a comma.
