What are some new wonders that you would like to see in Civ 6? A few of my suggestions:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gardens_of_Bomarzo

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sagrada_Família (This would be a somewhat unusual Civ wonder since it actually won't be completed until around 2026.)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petronas_Towers

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/30_St_Mary_Axe

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dome_of_the_Rock

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doge's_Palace

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Mark's_Basilica (I've been to this one and saw the outside of the above)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kowloon_Walled_City (Maybe just the park on the site today, but I think having the walled city in a Civ game in its original form as a negative "Wonder" would be kind of interesting.)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_Tower (Iconic from being in lots of Japanese monster movies)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Scala

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concertgebouw

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suntory_Hall

Panama or Suez Canal (Maybe as a National Wonder)

Hollywood/Film Industry National Wonder (Kind of surprised that Civ 5 doesn't have this actually, maybe the designers consciously left it out since having such a big late-game tourism/influence booster might unbalance the game a bit?)

Disney Land - city must contain jungle tiles, minus 4 to culture, +9 to gold

Las Vegas - must be built next to desert, minus 2 to faith, +8% increase in city size, minus 10% chance of catching spies

Niagara Falls - plus 2% to city population growth rate, must be built on river (duh)

British Museum - plus 10 to culture, small diplomatic penalty towards Greece

Acropolis - +8 culture, must be built on hill, requires marble.

Space Needle - must be built on coast, requires (Pike Place) market, and it would look awesome

Ishtar Gate - in fact, one of the original seven, in lists compiled before the construction of the Lighthouse of Alexandria.

2 i'll add

-St Peters Basilica (Requires Education)
Reduces influence other Civs gain from completing quests for Citystates following your religion by 50%. Religion spreads to Citystates 25% faster.

-Theodossian Walls (Requires Engineering)
Moves the capital to the City that builds the Theodossian Walls. Provides extra defense & a small amount of happiness, growth & faith. Provides a free City Walls.

(citizens feel safer and more comfortable behind perhaps the most elaborate city fortifications of antiquity)

Global Seed Vault (ecology, must be built on or next to snow): +8 food in this city. No population loss from starvation in Civilization. [not a terribly powerful wonder, but it's unique]
Delta Works (industrialization): +1 hammer from all coastal tiles/hexes in Civilization. [Fairly strong, especially for those one tile islands you're trying to get online]

Unfortunaely, anything else really creative or non-standard would require more knowledge about the game.

Not going to be inventing any wonders here, unlike the previous post, or will I claim to know what benefits in the game they would offer for the thread doesn't ask about those particulars.

How about some of these?

Hoover Dam - included before
Giant Buddha of Leshan
Tiwanaku - pre Incan marvel city in present day Bolivia
Mont Saint-Michel - France
Royal Palace of Amsterdam
The Sphinx
The Labyrinth - it was a real place! now lost wonder of the world about which Herodotus himself wrote that it was even more spectacular than the Pyramids.
Empire State Building
Panama Canal
World Trade Centre
Rome's Colosseum - as a Great Wonder
Sigiriya
La Manche Channel Tunnel
Golden Gate Bridge
Saksaywaman
Twin Towers of Kuala Lumpur

I probably forgot four or five more, at the least.

There are 2 Wonders I would like to see in the game that would add an interesting dynamic. We kind of already have one with the Apollo program, but here are ones I would like to see.

1) Panama Canal
  • Available in Industrial Era
  • Must be built in City area where a single land tile (possibly 2) strait is surrounded by 2 large bodies of water (oceans / seas)
  • Building this Wonder will allow sea unit to cross over land between the bodies of water without movement cost where the wonder is built
  • +15 gold if tiles are worked by the city (the entrances to the canal)

2) Chunnel (Channel Tunnel)
  • Available in Modern Era
  • Must be built in City where a single water tile (possibly 2) strait is surrounded by 2 large land masses (island /continents)
  • Building this Wonder will allow land units to traverse over water tiles without movement cost where the wonder is built
  • +15 gold if tiles are worked by the city (the entrances to the chunnel)

I think the Palace of Versailles is well overdue in returning to the franchise.
