No Adventurer or Challenger saves, mainly because it is a manual process right now and that adds unnecessary problems. Game starts immediately. Disregard any warning texts in the settings that say it isn't suitable for HoF submissions.

Respect our most sacred tradition of no replays... if you make a mistake, learn from it and live with it.

I always found Mehmed to be a very underrated leader. He is one of my favorites. Start looks kinda pants though ..lol

That looks like a very green/flat starting area. That inland sea looks very small from here. I wonder how much fiddling our map maker did... ;)
All I can say in fairness to our players who just dig in without reading through all the prelim... mess around and find out. :satan:

Basic probabilities for settling. Let’s say there’s a 10% chance that there is copper one east or one north. I know for a fact that there’s 100% chance I’ll settle on the copper if it’s there.

I wouldn’t be surprised if originally our settler was inland and KCD created an inlet from the sea to us.

OK, thinking out loud…
I think I wanna settle coastal for the water access and for the coins in addition to the seafood of course. I also want the corn since I have agriculture. It gives me two settling locations for T0 and probably one or two more to the northeast on T1.

Most likely we’re located in the south western corner of the map so settling further east or north centralizes me better. But not necessarily better for the initial cities.

I’m too dumb to figure out how to optimize early exploration and settling a turn to later. Crap. But! If I settle on turn one two tiles northward on either of those locations, then my second city can settle here in place and access any horse or metal that I might be missing out on if I don’t settle in place and still share the food. Although my sneaking suspicion is that KD deprived us of everything including iron.

Ok!
