SGOTM 14 Humanitarian Portuguese Domination

Some six months ago, four teams -- Elite, Ivan, Klarius and Spooks -- set out on an epic journey of domination with a humanitarian twist, the goal to take over the world as quickly as possible while yet leaving alive as many civilizations as possible. In the end it was the Spooks who came out with the Red Laurels as the clear winner, and Elite who took the Wooden Spoons.

Thanks to my team for a real great team effort (iirc).
And thanks of course to the staff for sacrificially organizing this one.
Thanks to Ivan for driving the design of this great victory condition.

I'd also like to thank my Mom, Dad, ... *fighting his tears*
I love you all!

Too bad participation is gradually depleting in this competetion...

Congrats Spooks! A well-deserved victory.

A special thanks to Andronicus for coming up with the one-turn Worker factory in the capital. We all played good sets, but this detail made the day.

@Team Elite: At least we were positive!

congrats to the winners :goodjob: Fun game and a close race (we fell behind though losing one Civ)

Congrats to team Spooks! So what's next? I'm up for another game, if it don't involve 20 minute IBTs.

Congratulation to winners!

Thanks to AlanH and Renata for design and conducting the game.

Thaks to evry participants, we really arrange strong competition.

@Paul, thanks for giving credits for the idea of the game to me.
In fact it was useful discussion that helped polish row idea and set a rules.

I think game was quiet successful: all teams won it finally, nobody quit.

I think we may start discussion of “story for SGTOM 15” now.

I have some ideas...

No settlers allowed might be interesting, human player can't build any. Start with say, 4 veteran archers and conquer the world from there. A no human-built city variant.
