What impresses me the most about Ignas' 20k is the fact that he wasn't even the fastest. Drazek was 8 turns faster, yet his jason score is almost 3000 points lower.

My special congrats to Drazek: the 20K award has probably never been more hard-fought than this month...! :goodjob: Who would have thought that topping ignas' performance was possible?!

Congrats to Drazek, a truly impressive 20k date, :hatsoff:

But even more impressive IMO is a rare 20k gold medal - well done Ignas :king:.

This game reinforced to me the need for rapid science for early Shakes in a 20k game. The added culture and added shields are the key. An early heroic epic certainly helps too.

For anyone reading this Andronicus has a good point here, but beware. It definitely can work in a Regent game as evidenced here and elsewhere, so he's right (to a certain extent). But, when the AIs can do more research and build things faster, say at Deity or Sid it, might not work too well. DWetzel also tried it in a Demi-God game and it didn't work too well for him, but he might have just had the wrong opponents or something.

Don't worry Marsden, I eat vegetarian.
