Some of us are working in the back rooms, trying to find free agents. :)

So far, I haven't offered enough cash... :mischief:

    But, ever hopeful.

Leif made the suggestion that perhaps the returning remnants of Xteam and GK should combine for this game ... and with no viable GK team on the horizon, C63 and I will be true to our Gypsy heritage and sell our services to Xteam

So, please move me over to Xteam for this one.

If a few of the other GK are looking to get into the game, I think Xteam is willing to add them too, but a PM to Leif to confirm would be in order.

Perhaps Fith Element and the unpronounceable team could merge? Too early?

Chris Shaffer could join Whodat as they only have 4-5 players?

Of course he is welcome in Phoenix Rising should he choose that offer. I don't think either of fifth Element or us offered him enough cash. I always take view if someone wanted to join a team they would of said yes straight away. If they can't decide it is perhaps not the right team for them.

I think he is happy to let Alanh decide his fate.

Yes, too early right now. I'll keep my powder dry for a few more days.
Let's see how it all unfolds.

I saw the notice over in the S&T thread:

This is precisely the sort of experience I would want, so I thought I'd try this out.

    1. No particular preference. Any team that wouldn't mind having a Monarch-level player.
    2. No
    3. Monarch

Please download and install this mod, and verify that you can start a random game with it. Don't worry about the Hall of Fame warnings that may display when you test it this way - they should not be present when you load the real game after 17 September.

The only changes from the standard version of BUFFY are in the Fallout tag in Civ4TerrainFeaturesInfo.xml:

    <iDisappearance>0</iDisappearance> instead of 500
    <NoCity>1</NoCity> instead of 0

But please don't try making those changes to your existing BUFFY, as that will stop it working for any other xOTM; and you still won't be able to use it for this game, as the mod name will be incorrect.

AlanH it works for me too, it was meant to set up a BUFFY_SG12 folder, right?

@Trystero I'd be perfectly happy with a Monarch level player for T'dr'duzk, and seeing as we had only 30ish pages I think were safely on the side of the non-insane microing.

@vranasm and Brian Shanahan Yes. That's the correct behavior

I have put ChrisShaffer and Trystero into an 'Unallocated' group for now, since it seems unlikely that Smurkz will show up now. In due course, we'll allocate you into an appropriate team when we see how many more signups have happened.

I had no problems with the installation as well.

Thanks for the invitation! I didn't state a preference since I've never tried this before, and I wanted to give AlanH maximum flexibility, but if given a choice I will definitely keep you in mind. Thanks again!

Teaching a person how to play an SGOTM is like teaching a baby how to swim. Just throw them in the deep end. Also over 10-20 turns you can easily play 2 levels above your current one. In SP I'm only a decent Prince player, yet I handled the last SGOTM ok.

Xteam is growing apace. However, I understand some of the players are hard pressed for time, so there will be multiple part-timers on the team. Hope that works out for them :)

    I'll give this a shot.

    No preferred team.
    Never played a SGOTM before.
Reliably win at Monarch, working on Emperor now.

It's not that I'm spurning Fifth Element or Phoenix Rising's offers. I don't have strong preferences if I'm not on Smurkz and I'd like to give Alan the flexibility to place me where I'm needed most.
