Next turn play

Today is Monday, April 15th.

I had intended to play some additional turns tonight, but I think that I'll hold off. I want to give some people a chance to join in who only get online during weekdays.

I'll play the next set on Wednesday April 17th.

Another reason for this is that I'll be leaving on business on Thursday. I'll be back and able to play on Sunday - and I will be able to check the forum sporadically while I'm away. I hope that works out for everyone's timing.

I'll update this thread as I go.

So everyone who still checks here: Please participate. I'd love to have some input on city building queues, tech studying orders, military ideas, etc.

OK, today is Wednesday, April 17th. The game date is 1615.

I intend to play again on Monday April 22nd in the evening (EST).

I am pretty certain that we've abandoned the chat as it is not really worthwhile to debate things that we have already decided before the turns start. While we're trying to keep the democratic decision-making aspect to the game, we need a balance whereby the President's decisions are informed by our advice, rather than dictated by. Should Kev fall asleep at the keyboard with his chin on the return key then they'd be good grounds for impeachment but otherwise I say that we let him play the turns twice a week and have the relevant advice ready for him when he starts to play. Ideally, before starting the first turn, the President will come here and read anything new, then play the turns with the advice in mind before writing up a report and then posting it here with the save attached so that the governors and other ministries can download it and do their stuff. I have no complaints with our progress under President Kev and long may it continue!

Yeah, given my slowish dial-up, I'll likely not institute chat stuff unless there's a huge outcry for it.

I think that I'll move my game day up a day. I'll play on Sunday the 21st instead of Monday. I was able to cut my business trip down by a day.

Well, it's Sunday (I'm pretty sure the 21st) and I've already played. In fact, it was because of the great job done by everyone here that I was able to play sooner than I thought.

Assuming that all works the same way, I'd like to play Wedensday or Thursday of this week. (24th or 25th I believe).

We are moving along very well. Thanks again to EVERYONE who has been so involved.

It's Thursday, April 25th. I just finished playing to 1700.

I'll likely rejoin the game around Sunday the 28th, but may have to wait until the 29th.

Its likely he is playing tonight because he hasn't posted any of his great game commentaries. Probably the best any president has done.

I'm glad that you like the commentaries!

As you may have guessed, I've decided to push the game back a day. I'll be playing tonight (Monday the 29th). Tune in then to find out how we fare.

The reason I pushed it back was mainly because the forum was down for a day during the week. I know that most like to visit during the weekdays, and I wanted to give everyone an extra weekday to post stuff.

Plus, I had to play golf AND coach a soccer game on Sunday. I'm getting old and tired these days.

OK, it's Monday, May 6th and I've played up to 1774.

I'll try to rejoin the game on Thursday the 9th but may push it back to Friday the 10th.

It's Friday, May 10th and we've just played up to 1796.

I will be playing again on Wednesday the 15th. This will be pretty solid as I will be leaving the next day for back-to-back business trips that will take me to Orlando and Atlanta.

I'll be able to tune into the CFC, but I won't have the game and won't be able to play while I'm travelling.

I'll be returning on the 21st of May and will play again at that point. It just works out so well

OK, we're up to 1816 and it's May 16th.

As mentioned, I'll be going on a business trip. I'll be returning on May 21st and I'll play then.

I'll be able to pop in now and again to post things, but I'll be on my MAC laptop and won't be able to play or check out anything.

OK, update: I got back from my trip rather late on the 21st. I'll be playing tonight instead (the 22nd).

OK, it's May 23rd and we've played through 1842. I'd like to get in two more turns if possible before the June elections/volunteering. To that end, I'm hoping to play oon the 27th and then on the 1st of June.

In these cases, I'll play smaller amounts of turns as they are closer together.

Another thought here is that I'll be on a cruise from June 2nd through June 9th. I'll be unable to even get to the net, probably. I'll post a thread in the regular forum on how we'd like to play this - perhaps someone would like to step in and play some turns. If not, we could wait a week.

We'll discuss.

Seriously, I think that we will be able to cope with this easily. If anyone wants to play the turns then they can still rely on my advice (for what it's worth ) and I'm sure that of the others too.
