jackson, mccoy, maclin, celek - some decent pieces to work with. o-line needs to get healthy again to give whoever it is back there time to throw and execute the mickey mouse offense which i'm not a real big fan of. we'll see. i'll hold out until i can get my eyeballs on it all

i don't think that they'll take a qb with the first pick. i get the impression that foles will get a shot. he deserves it imo, at least for a good chunk of the season. defense is where they need a ton of help, db's in particular.

Agree Foles deserves a shot. As to the offense, IMO DCs are going to have a lot
more motivation to figure out the pistol/zone read/Oregon offense now that some
QBs have shown up that can make them deadly (Keapernick, Wilson, maybe Griffin
if he learns to avoid the hits). Just as happened with run-and-shoot, for those types who remember it.

yes, good comparison i remember those days. i don't think the nfl was really ready for it back then. today, it's more accepted, i think, this pistol/run-n-shoot redux. kelly's pick for DC will be paramount if they want to compete next year. we can have all the glitz in the world on the offensive side of the ball. but if the defense continues to not be able to stop anybody...Big Balls Chip will be left holding the bag.

You guys act as though poor performance is a personal slight, like the black sheep of a family to be hidden away -- shameful. Philly fans didn't just want to see McNabb out of town, they wanted to continue to hate him elsewhere while forcing him to see his team excel with out him. And you seem to be doing the same thing to Vick. You don't just want another QB, you want another QB AND you want Vick to suffer.

Of course, much of this comes from a fierce loyalty. Which is nice.
