Montreal got lucky with a hot goaltender. :p

And its not my fault that the East sucks :p

The same, except only one correct series-length prediction... 6+1

    This should be noted though:
It seems like the match-ups mattered surprisingly much, or was it mostly coincidence?

What a game last night! Yay Habs!!!

I was a bit choked to find out my PVR didn't start recording the game when it was supposed to, but I saw most of the second period and all of the third - the important part of the game.

Let's see how I did in the first round (pts in red)
    Now for this round:

    Pittsburgh vs Montreal in 7
    Boston vs Philadelphia in 7

San Jose vs Detroit in 6
    Chicago vs Vancouver in 7

I really want to say Montreal for the first pairing, but I think if anyone in the east is going to break Halak, it'll be Crosby, especially if he keeps playing the way he did in the first round.

You're probably right, but then again, the reverse of that prediction is that if anyone is going to stop Crosby, it's Halak, especially if he keeps playing the way he did in the first round :p

It'll likely depend on which Crosby shows up - regular season amazing Crosby, or super-human round 1 Crosby.

San Jose is going to pwwwwwwwnnnn That is all.

But seriously, I think they'll beat Detroit. They got the monkey that is a repeat of just about every playoff they have ever been in off of their backs. I feel like this might be the year for them to finally take the cup (fingers crossed!)

Subi and I have changed our avatars to try and overcome all you Blackhawk haters.

Out of curiosity, do you all expect Luongo to stand on his head in this series? It's the only thing I can come up with on how the Hawks will lose in 6. I'd love to see some analysis why you all feel so strongly about the Canucks since I'm obviously biased.

I dunno, honestly. I don't see an obvious winner between the two teams - break even in the regular season, etc - but in the end Vancouver has both the most-point player and a goalie who, if he's not asleep on the job, is one of the best in the league. Chicago...doesn't have so good goaltending, though you have an otherwise very solid team.

I think I flip-flopped five times or so on calling that one before I locked my answer in.

(And I'm rooting for the other team on that one)
