What can people tell me about Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. I got a 'No More Shall We Part' a couple of years ago, but only recently was exposed to anything else ('Let Love In'). On the strength of those two albums I'd say he's the best songwriter I've ever heard, but that's obviously premature. If there's any NC fans out there which albums are there personal favourites, which do they recommend?

I recommend you also check out his early work as well. He fronted the Goth band, The Birthday Party who had minor success with the classic "Release the Bats".

Get his best-of album :)

On it there are classics like Stagger Lee and Red Right Hand.

My personal favourite album would be Murder Ballads. Good stuff :goodjob:

His first albums with the Bad Seeds are essential: "From Her to Eternity" (1984) and "The Firstborn Is Dead" (1985). A personal favorite of mine is "Tender Prey" (1988). I never listened to his work with The Birthday Party. Hm, now is a good time to do it. :)
