[NO BUG] Republic not working or not displaying correctly (is applied to city tile)

I have adopted the social policy Republic which gives +1 production in every city. However none of my cities displays that bonus. It only shows the production from the terrain/buildings.
Since production overflow is not displayed (it's still in the game, isn't it?) I do not know whether the Republic bonus exists but isn't displayed or doesn't exist at all.
 
Ok, I checked again and can confirm that Republic is definitely not working in my game. It's not just not dispalying it.

One of my cities started building a Granary (150 production), the city has 8 production from terrain and the Granary takes 18 turns to build. 18x8=144, so there seem to be 6 production overflow.
If Republic worked, but just didn't display correctly, it should take only 17 turns (17x9=153) even without overflow.

Awesome! I am not going to continue that game until this bug is fixed.

Is anyone else experiencing the same bug?

Sorry for the tripple post. I read the Communism not working thread and ainwoods response to it. Apparently bonuses from social policies aren't displayed as such at all, but instead the city tile simply produces more hammers then normally.

I guess this solves my problem. No bug here!

But still - I thought Firaxis was so proud of their new UI. Not displaying overflow at all, not displaying social policy production bonuses in an intuitive way...
 
Wow that's messed up. I was just about to post about this. Glad it was figured out.
