no cd problem after patching 1.22 on Civ 3 Complete

Hello,

I bought a digital version of Civ 3 Complete through Game Agent. I have a serial number and everything. I have been running this game for 1 month with no problem.

Recently, I wanted to try to use a player made scenario and I was getting a load error and it was suggested that I download and install the 1.22 patch. However, now I cannot even access the game because everytime it says I need a CD. However, I never had a CD and never had a problem with this before.

What do I do?

I have sent e-mails to both Game Agent and Aspyer but as of yet no replies. Just continue to wait?

Hi, welcome

The problem is that the version you downloaded was already a fully patched copy of version 1.22. Applying the Aspyr patch has not changed its version, but unfortunately, it has converted it to the DVD installation, and now it wants the DVD.

It must surely by possible for you to download it from Game Agent again (they are the same company as Aspyr)? Have you tried?
