So I just started playing this mod for the first time recently, and I've been having some problems. In both of my matches so far I got well into the ancient era without finding any source of copper. As in, no copper anywhere on the continent, even the AI factions don't have any. I've found tin, lead, silver, gold, iron, diamonds, and pretty much anything else I need except this one essential resource. This is true for both of my games; I haven't had any other issues with scarcity whatsoever. I have a couple of questions about this.
1. Are these playthroughs salvageable or am I just fudged? I have iron, so I should be fine for military units if I can make it to the classical era. But copper is required for a ton of other basic metals like bronze and brass. I'm worried that's gonna put a cap on how far I can progress.
2. Should I switch to a different map type? I did both of these playthroughs on continents maps because I think it's fun to still be meeting new civs well into the later eras. But I've heard that only a handful of map types have been fully playtested, so maybe there's a glitch in resource distribution or something?
Any help would be appreciated. I'm having a blast with my current playthrough, and I'd hate to have to start from scratch again. I was doing so well, too!
