I'm playing on a European map, and sharing England with the Russians.. I am Germany.....

After being very peaceful not causing trouble as I play the game - only on Chieftain, wanna win on that one before moving up - I decide to start to try and take out the Russians, as I want the island for myself...

I have just gotten Panzer tanks but I thought mmmm I may get resistance. I wiped out their 7 cities using maybe 1 or 2 tanks. The fools were using spears.

They had an agreement with France, but they did nothing and Russia did not even threaten me to leave or yell a declare war against me.

Did they release that they were going to be totally dominated and thought ahh stuff it, yelling abuse won't help..

Those panzers are fun... Might be time to take control of Ireland.. All that land and the Aztecs are not using it properly... :king:

I usually don't get to the Panzer. Normally I have wiped out the other civs before the industrial age

This was my first war in this game though.. I was going to be a peaceful civ, but sometimes greed kicks in

Greed hmmm seems a familiar thought In my mind :) If thah have only got spearmen and you have panza tanks something tells me your ready to move up the difficulty ladder :)

/me wonders how people win early wars as when I get into an early war it tends to last 2000 years till one of us is dead heh

My early wars are almost never to the death they usually go until one of us pays tribute for peace.:king:

Well, the island of GB might not have had iron if they were still using spears. Then again, if they hadn't even gotten Nationlism yet and he had

I have but one question: Peaceful? Say what Stranger?

I am VERY rarely peaceful in Civ.

If you were playing Conquests, it is likely that they did not have Iron, since there is a third less resources in Conquests. (very frusterating, the less resources thing)

More exciting and challenging, ... and anxiety producing!

Well, playing in MP games with NO strategic resources, and friends that have huge armies that are much superior to yours, ya, just a BIT of anxiety, but it is just game after all

Unless you are one of those friends that have huge armies and has at least one of every strategic resource available. Then there's very little anxiety. :D

On the other hand, one gets frustrated VERY early when one doesn't get any strategic resources at all.

Hehe, I think I know which game this is. I should try to find it to post a screenshot so everyone can laugh at the bloody indians.

If I were one of the Civs with resources and huge armies, I would be anxious about the other Civ with resources and a huge military.

We all had the same resources I think..... We both shared England, so they had ample opportunity. They didn't expand which is crazy.. I have England, modern day Benelux, region around Estonia, A few cities in the Lapland area of Scandanavia, Southern island, only bit any good the islands from england to there, and the back of Russia, which wraps around the Atlantic...

So in hinsight I did them a favour destroying them... I would've culture flipped them anyway... eventually

So, the OP said he attacked russia, and yet Russia did not go to war with him, and neither did a nation which had an MPP with russia.

That's weird!

The second thing listed above has happened to me, as well. I was at war with someone and their MPP ally did not declare war on me. Yet they continued to have an MPP with that ally.

Any explanations?

I find it pretty unlikely that they didn't go to war with you, Tsargrad. Since they were so far behind in tech and using spearmen they may not have attacked you (AI sees spearmen as a defensive unit).
As far as their MPP ally not attacking, I have no idea. Got a save?
Master Shake, did you attack or did your enemy? MPP's don't take effect until the other civ is attacked in its own territory.

Unless it was a MPP, and maybe just friendly, I don't know.

I mainly found it weird that they didn't threaten me.. I just launched into Aztec territory and they aren't either. They have no MPP but they have more friends than I do.
