no voice recommendation of Sid in tutorial mod

Before I had Russian version of Civ IV with English tutorial. There was voice recommendation of Sid. Now I got Civilization IV Gold Edition and there is no voice recommendation of Sid in tutorial mod. I mean just text but I know that he must speak. Is it problem with audio settings? Or it must be so :confused:
p.s. all other sounds work great
