no workers with Vikings 600 AD

I am not sure, but look at the positive side: you can move your capital to Umea, for example, without losing the arriving workers.

Yeah, that's true, but you are getting them in the 3000 BC start, in which you start in 500 something. In the 600 AD start, you of course start in 600 AD. So that means a later start + no workers, which makes a 600 AD Viking game a lot harder than a 3000 BC one, which is imbalanced.
 
Even in the BC start you only have one turn before workers arrive so almost impossible to move capital to a "good" spot without loosing them. If only that extra turn was there it would be possible by dropping settler in galley above the copper and moving south .. but alas :)

Just crank out a bunch of beserkers and take over the British Isles as history demands and you are set for life :D
