Nobody care that industrious is a lot weaker?

First, let me say I welcome the change to industrious.

Second, why hasn't this even been commented on? Industrious now has workers work at 150% speed instead of 200% which is fast, but not overpowering anymore. I take it nobody really cares, or is this a "no new is good news" thing?

I love the change.

Workers are still 'better' than normal, but Rep. Parts/Demo/Fascism will have a lot more impact.

Also, I'll probably no longer feel like my Tribe choice must be 'Industrious and . . .' .

Of course, I haven't really looked in depth at what it means gameplay wise (C3C just got pushed back to 18th in Oz  ), so I may get on a rant bandwagon at a later date (I doubt it though; the change seems balanced).

I feel that it's ok as it is now. I haven't been doing calcs though (too busy playing :p), but I think I saw someone from the developers say it was 66% bonus for Ind, not 50%. That would make the change even less of an issue.

What's that 66% you're talking about ? Because reading you, it seems industrious has been improved ?

EDIT : Forget that, my slow and dumb mind finally got that. The decrease is from 100% to 66% bonus, and not 100% to 50%. :)

I think it is a great change. Industrious was the clear winner in the past. It is my belief that all of them should be balanced...no one stronger than the other overall. This is a good start - even If i do miss my double speed workers.. :(

Good news!
If only because it won't be as depressing as before to select a non industrious civ. :D

3-turn irrigation is a real pain now :(
Used to have 2 workers in one turn, now my whole system is messed up ... 2 workers now complete in 2 turns so, either 3 workers, 1 turn or 1 worker and 3 turns .... decisions decisions...

You can still road in 2 turns.

Glad to see the change. Of the 20 or so games I have played so far, at least 15 were with industrious Civs as they were so clearly superior. My first C3C game has been with France and although industrious is still the best in my eyes, it is nowhere near as unbalanced as it was before.

Merepatra told us about this last Dev-Chat. You know the comment about them breaking one of it's toes?

And I was the one to mention it in the chat transcript becuase no one else was commenting...

Masquerouge, you are probably right that its 166% because it seems like I can get jobs done with 150% speed, but round down the number of workers it takes.

So I really do love this change... I just thought everyone would be outraged about their favorite trait.

I like it better. Industrious is no longer a clear leader, but is brought closer into balance.

I like the change a lot too. It gives the opportunity to select different civs with different attributes rather than go with industrious all the time. But at the same time, industrious is not so bad after all.

It is supposed to be taken on as a joke... I know what it has to be done to change it...

sry (for the record what i said was a joke 2)

Yay for well balanced civs! As was said earlier, no longer have to be 'industrious' and something else or we don't pick that civ to use.
