I am realy excited about trying out mods now that I have civ4! I have downloaded the civ4lerts MOD, the sdksixsizes MOD, and the CIVMORE MOD. I loaded civ4lerts and sdksixsizes into the game and I could see the sizes one working from the game generation screen but when I loaded the civmore mod the new sizes were not available on the character generation screen anymore!

Does this mean that Civ4lerts won't work with Civmore as well? Is there a way to run all 3 together at the same time? Please help!

to run them together they must be merged int one mod as only one mod will be active at any given time.
Merging is simple if the mods do not share the same files (then you can simply copy them info one big folder). It might get nasty through if they share files as one has to identify all changes and combine those to get a working version.

But there are a lot of great modpacks out there that combine existing modpacks. So you most probably will not have to merge them yourself.

thanks for the reply Chalid. OK, now that I know that they have to be combined into one is there anybody out there that knows how to do this that could combine these 3 for me? I could do it if it's simply a matter of copying files into one but I suspect that Civmore probably uses some of the same files as the others do since the zip file was 149 megs!

Get WinMerge over at source forge if your willing to get your hands dirty, with that you can combine just about anything even if you dont understand the code.

Ah found you. Anyway thanks for the link to the six size map thread. My threads been hoppin lately. Combining the mods really imbues three levels of difficulty XML,Python, and SDK(source combining). I can tell you how to add my changes to other mods. But not vice versa as I dont know what they changed. Check My thread in a couple of days Ill have an attachment in the main post to tell you what to copy and where. If you wish to combine SDK mods you will need the SDK. Check the Installing and using the SDK thread and follow the directions exactly. Heres the link to that thread.
