Nooby Question - Sorry!

Does anyone know how to turn off the 'just researched a new technology' pop-up? I managed to do it before the last update but now its been reset but by the Power of Greyskull I can't remember how I did it before! The fact that it's a minor annoyance makes it more irritating!

Oh, and another thing, is it possible to have units with 'hidden nationalities' like the privateers in civ3? Its really only for one unit, submarines, but i liked having the option to do a bit of damage without going to a full scale war (and so did the AI!)

I think the NoMovies flag in the ini file will cancel the tech quotes also.

You can find the ini in My docs\My Games\Civ 4\CivilizationIV.ini

do a ctrl f for movies, it should be the 2nd entry, set it to 1. Of course you miss wonder and religion movies also now.
