The doomed thread resurfaces once again.. Let's hope this one will survive the summer break :)

The Norwegian Premier leage has been going for two rounds so far. This is probably the most even and unpredictable season ever, as anybody can beat anyone.. After 13 matches there have been zero away-wins! :ack:

    The matches so far:

    Round 1
    • Vålerenga - Aalesund 1-0
    • Brann - Fredrikstad 4-2
    • Bodø/Glimt - HamKam 2-0
    • Lillestrøm - Tromsø 1-1
    • Molde - Stabæk 0-0
    • Viking - Strømsgodset 1-0
    • Rosenborg - Lyn 2-1

    Round 2
    • Aalesund - Brann 4-2
    • Fredrikstad - Molde 2-1
    • Lyn - Bodø/Glimt 3-1
    • HamKam - Viking 3-2
    • Stabæk - Lillestrøm 4-2
    • Tromsø - Vålerenga 2-0
    • Strømsgodset - Rosenborg (today at 19.00)

.. Which gives us this table:

    Code:
    Stabæk 2 1 1 0 4-2 4
    Tromsø 2 1 1 0 3-1 4
    Aalesund 2 1 0 1 4-3 3
    Lyn 2 1 0 1 4-3 3
    Rosenborg 1 1 0 0 2-1 3
    Brann 2 1 0 1 6-6 3
    Bodø/Glimt 2 1 0 1 3-3 3
    Viking 2 1 0 1 3-3 3
    Fredrikstad 2 1 0 1 4-5 3
    HamKam 2 1 0 1 3-4 3
    Vålerenga 2 1 0 1 1-2 3
    Molde 2 0 1 1 1-2 1
    Lillestrøm 2 0 1 1 3-5 1
    Strømsgodset 1 0 0 1 0-1 0
My beloved Tromsø has had a decent start with a draw away against LSK and a win at home versus Vålerenga.

This year we talk about the "Big Six" in Norwegian football. These are Rosenborg, Brann (last years winners), Viking, Lillestrøm, Vålerenga and Stabæk. When we talk about the "Big Six" in a league with only 14 teams you just know it's going to be a close call. None of these have been really impressive in the first couple of rounds.

NOTE: This is the last season with 14 teams in the premier league. Next year it will be expanded to 16 teams, which means only one team is directly relegated.
