With all of the changes and craziness with this cabinet, I'm not quite sure who the Foreign Minister is - so I'm sorry to do this as a whole new thread.
I think we are missing out on some International opportunities here, and I'm hoping that perhaps we can have the Foreign Minister cover a few things.
Some things we ma wish to visit - and please let me know if I'm out of line for asking.
1. At war with the Zulus still - maybe the English I can't remember. We should discuss if we want peace with these nations as we are not poised to attack them any time soon from what I can see. I would hate to have a trireme picked off by the Zulus or something for no real reason.
2. We should be contacting all nations that we have peace with right now - and those that we make peace with. Either go for tribute (unlikely given they probably have greater military numbers) or go for tech trading. Perhaps even the Zulus would trade Astronomy - though unlikely since they started Cope's. A better option may be the Chinese who have the Great Library and therefore should have Astronomy as well (since the Romans and Zulus have it). I don't think the Chinese started Cope's, did they? Anyway, I have to think that there are techs out there to trade for.
3. There is still so much out there to explore, I would love to trade maps with some civs if possible as well.
I'm sure I'm missing some things as well.
I hope we can discuss these things soon, and again I'm sorry to devote a whole thread to this topic.
UPON EDIT: I finally got off my lazy duff and found the cabinet thread on like the 3rd page (BTW, should we make that a sticky during the spefic term?)
Spycatcher was the voted Foreign Minister, but in the following "Damage Control" thread, AoA was appointed as acting Foreign Minister.
