I don't think there must be a new NotW starting the very second the previous ends. It could be a good thing to go and wait for a while (not too long though). Look at PrinceScamp for instance, he didn't want to play another game right after the previous. I think a little rest every now and then wouldn't be bad.

As a general rule of thumb, I think it would be good if the sign-ups for next game start right after the previous ends, but no sooner.

@thomas: No sorry, I've been trying to get my position moved back too. I'm too busy with exams still and I have a big one planned. You'll have to ask merciary or LF. If neither of them want to take your place tehn I'd suggest a week or two break, my last exam is the 13th of June. Will you be able to run your NOTW at that time? I should have enough time to plan mine while yours is ongoing and when I'm not revising before then.

Pinman are you sure you want to? Everyone would be happy with a break and I'd actually prefer one myself. You can go first after the break if you like though.

Plan for 20-30. Be sure to be flexible in the actual number. That would be my advise.

Alright, Pinman's Night of the Werewolves has further inspired and motivated me, beyond the point of critical mass. I've been groaning about wanting to host another Night of the Werewolves ever since ethergar hosted his (Where is he, by the way? He was a great player while he lasted...), but that ends tonight. I've begun writing up the character stats.

Still, I'd like to let Pre-ChaNES end before I host my game, so I don't have to juggle two things at once. I'd like to reserve a spot around late August for my game.

More importantly, though, I should note that this won't be a "Night of the Werewolves" game in either name or setting - but it will follow the spirit of Night of the Werewolves in form and function. As such, I'd like to reserve a spot in between Night of the Werewolves games (unless everyone suddenly wants to host at once, in which case I'd be fine with running my game overlapping another). As long as no one finds this objectionable, I'd like this to be reflected in the first post for reference.

Ok. Sure. Do you have a name for it? Also, as long as it still follows the same kind of structure I reckon you can still call it a NOTW. Maybe not if its not based on FFH though, idk.

And I don't see much of a need to attach the NotW label to it - there will be neither werewolves nor nights, after all. The gameplay will be the same, but as long as it's commonly known that it follows the Night of the Werewolves paradigm and people join it accordingly, it shouldn't matter.

You may get that wish. I'm not quite sure how long Pre-ChaNES will last, and "by the end of summer" is a somewhat optimistic estimate.
